Everyone is talking about how time goes by super fast, how they can't believe a certain month is already over. I can't find myself sharing those feelings. Time is not going fast, and it's not going slow. Time is simply.. taking its time, 'cause it's allowed to.
I am still in my summer holiday somehow. I think that It's starting to have a negative impact on me. For the past week (or even more) I've been in hibernation mode, watching shows, eating chips Oman and tweeting. I'm becoming so lazy that I can barely get myself to leave the house. I'm also suffering from totally-forgot-about-meetings syndrome. Very bad.
You see, I have no classes this semester and I'm only waiting for my internship to start. I am part of the Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Scholars Program at New York University - Abu Dhabi, I still use my brain that much, and I really don't know what would have happened if I didn't have classes there! I have lots of readings to do for that, but again, I'm too lazy to do anything.
Through that program so far I got to meet with Sheikha Mariam Bint Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and former Prime Minister Gordon Brown. That was quite interesting!
Last summer was eventful. Many interesting things happened. I got to intern for a month at the Minister of State's office and I attended One Young World Summit in Zurich. That's the highlight of it. I guess.
I have to do another internship in November for 10-freakin-weeks, and I'm not sure that I'm actually looking forward to that. The place I've applied for was kind of disappointing; I hope that it was a false perception and that I'd get more excited once I get to know the place more next week.
I was telling my friend the other day. I don't feel like I'm going to graduate in June. It feels like I have already graduated but didn't exactly get my certificate yet. Hmm..
Sharjah International Book Fair is coming up soon! I really can't wait! I'll have to dedicate a whole post to it once I have the time! Also, speaking of which, have any good books recommendations for me?
Great things are coming up, and even if I'm a bit doubtful about some, I can't wait for them; but it seems that this year, time chooses to take its time. I need it to go faster, just a tiny bit.
