Scene - Snow Falling in Dubai

They were talking on the phone. He was in a bad mood that day. Her attempts to cheer him up continued to fail.

They were silent for a moment as she was looking out her window. Then she saw whiteness falling down from the sky. It was snowing! For the first time in Dubai!

She was very excited. She kept calling his name, telling him to get out of his house! It was snowing!

She kept repeating that as she ran down the stairs to go in the courtyard. Her heart was racing. They could finally do something that they both did for the first time, something that was theirs, only theirs; something that nor he or she have done ever before - enjoying snow in Dubai.

He did not answer her. The line was cut off.

She was left there, on the step of her house door, looking at the falling snow.

All they had was their here and now, no hopes for a future, no regrets of a past; yet, that here and now she wanted the most was taken away from her.
