Busy. A word that describes and un-describes my life in the past few weeks.
Things have been hectic in the last week before the Eid holiday, with all the midterms and assignments. Then the Eid holiday came. I was in India, so I couldn't really 'feel' Eid there. I should write about my visit to India in my blog sometime. Anyways, after the Eid holiday, things have been hectic as well: catching up with assignments and readings, as well as preparing for the National Day Celebrations in Zayed University. My three-hour breaks which seemed so long at the beginning of the semester are simply not enough anymore.
My blog is deserted, since I don't have time to feel anything for any creative writing, if I dare to describe my writing as being 'creative.' And a lot of friends are asking me why I am not so active on twitter anymore. I ask myself the same question, but I guess there isn't much to say now, is there? And I seem to constantly forget about my facebook account. I barely log in there anymore.
Al Amal Camp for special needs' children, which I have been SO excited to be part of like I was last year, will happen in a time that does not suit me because of university. It was very frustrating at first knowing that I cannot be part of it, but I have to accept it. Maybe next year enshallah! Sigh.
Last Thursday, I got the chance to be in the audience for a recording of an episode of Hewar Al Arab show, Al Arabiya TV. That was very interesting to be part of.
In the midst of it all, I appreciate having my friends around: Mona, BJ, Amal, Hanan and Marwa. And of course my non-uni friend: Sara.
I just had to mention them like they do in cheesy song-dedication TV shows, Hehe. It's just that they manage to make me laugh in my most stressing days, they deserve a mention in here.
Things I'm looking forward to:
Field Trip to Twofour54 on Monday
National Day Celebrations in ZU on Wednesday
National Day Holiday on Thursday
TEDxDubaiWomen on Dec 9!
I guess I'd better stop typing now. Have a great night all.
