Why are we, girls, so brainwashed with the idea that "the one" will be a "knight" on a "white horse" of some kind? Okay we know that there are not a lot of "knights" out there anymore, but why do we still use that expression?
I like to think that things have changed now, and that the "white horse" is like a "white car" or something. Then again, "the one" we are waiting for would not sound so special now, would he? Hell, I find a red car more attractive than a white one!
Should we, then, specify what "white car" is "the one" driving? Maybe something like a G55? Or a Ferrari?
Wouldn't that imply that he is some spoiled boy instead of a hard working man? Would we want "the one" to be spoiled?
If we are talking about white horses, then "the one" is a "knight". Now we are talking about a "white car" which means that "the one" is a "driver".
So basically, "the one" is a "driver" of a "white car" preferably an expensive one. Still, "the one" does not sound so special to me, he might as well be an actual "driver" who gets paid for driving people around without actually owning the car, but using it the whole time.
Now that I think of it, why in the first place what "the one" is riding more important than "the one" himself? I mean the expression "the knight on the white horse" does not mention anything about the knight himself! It just talks about the horse he is riding!
I am really confused here! I don't know what I am trying to say!
I guess the bottom line here is, nothing really makes sense.
It's all bullshit.
ROFL, LOVE this post!:D

This blog is a fav!
I like the comparison you made between old times and nowadays. The expression actually mentions everything about the knight himself because the word "knight" cannot be given to anyone except the brave, strong, elegant, usually handsome...etc and the white horse shows his wealth since white horses are not that common i believe. Because in the old days the ladies wanted someone to protect them, a knight made a perfect sense but today girls are seeking the one who has loads of cash and a job that would keep that cash increasing. I'm not saying if this right or wrong, i'm just saying this is our situation nowadays especially in our country.
