Makkah, In Less Than 24 Hours

I have been trying to sleep. I am tired and sleepy but cannot sleep. The thought that I will be seeing the Ka'ba  for the first time in my life brings tears to my eyes and would not let me sleep. I mean, it is the holiest place anyone could visit! I will get to visit it, finally!

My heart flutters, and my stomach has a zillion butterflies once I think about it; one of my life's dreams would become true! I will get to pray in Al Masjed Al Haram. It's a great great feeling I cannot describe, and I cannot wait for it to double and triple once I actually go there!

I spent the day preparing for Omra, reading about it and packing my little blue suitcase. Besides my clothes and other essentials, I packed a book "Women Around the Messenger" which I started and didn't finish yet, my diary and a pen. I want to record every moment I spent there, I really can't wait!
I also tried to finish some of my duties in the Student Council before leaving, and alhamdulellah I did.

They say that the Duaa that you make the first time you see the Ka'ba becomes true. I don't know if this has any basis in Quran or Sunnah, but I was thinking about the Duaa that I would want to make anyways. I couldn't make up my mind! I am trying to come up with a genius Duaa that would include all the things that I want at once. I hope I can remember to make the Duaa once I see the Ka'ba!

p.s.: forgive me all if I have hurt you or have been unjust to you in anyway. See you in three days enshallah <3

    .^^.
